Right before I was released from the hospital, I was given strict orders to not lift anything or DO anything for 4-6 weeks. And when my husband asked the doctor to give me examples (because he knows that I would be the person to push my activities and boundaries to the limit), the doctor continued to explain, "...Like cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, grocery shopping, laundry, things like that."
So, in other words: BEDREST. But not REALLY bedrest, because the doctor has instructed me to also get up and slowly move around physically. So, basically, I will be able to walk around my house and study all the dirt and dog hair, the dusty shelves, the unwashed dishes, the weeds growing in my garden... but I won't be able to do a damn thing about them.
This will be a long month.
