After we set up camp, and gave the boys some water guns, the four-year old and the seven year old went at each other. It was fun to watch them work together to kill "bad guys", tiring to have to break up arguments, and amusing to hear their laughter and watch them soak each other.
We took my nephew to his birthday party. I had some wine earlier that afternoon and didn't eat much all day, so hopefully I didn't embarrass myself too bad. Anyway, after the pizza, cake, and fun presents (that I got caught up with playing myself), we took the kids back to camp. A hundred smores later, we got the kids dressed in their sleepwear. And with flashlights working, the boys went to bed where they fell asleep in record time.
In the morning, breakfast was made, camp was broken down, everything was packed up, and we headed out of camp to teach the boys how to fish. Donned with Spiderman fishing poles, the boys tried casting and reeling. But honestly, they had more fun splashing and playing.
After we ate lunch on the tailgate of Scott's truck, we then headed to take Zach home. And after our goodbyes, Scott, Connor and I began our trek back to central Oregon.
It was such a great weekend, full of laughter and fun. Like Scott said, we will be doing that again very soon. But maybe after some rest... I think that we were all a bit worn out from all the fun.
